The independence movement congratulated its winning candidate, Esquire Youssef Doueihy, on becoming a member of the Tripoli Bar Association and congratulated the Future Movement for their candidate, Esquire Mohammad Mourad’s victory as Head of the Bar Association. It also thanked comrades in the Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Forces and the Future Movement, in addition to lawyers from various offices and political parties for their support, especially lawyers from the Kataeb party, the Islamic Group, the Jurists Union of Jurists, and the
Reform congregation; as well as lawyers who supported Major General Ashraf Rifi and President Farid Makari, for their efforts in this
battle in the bar association, whereby the Future Movement, the Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Forces and the Independence Movement all sought to emphasize the diversity, pluralism and partnership of the Tripoli Bar Association, which we will all seek to spread into the various other associations as a model for interaction within associations in the North.

It also pledged to push forward in its support of the reform agenda in the Bar Association for the association’s benefit and that of the lawyers in the north specifically, and in Lebanon in general.
