Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad warned Wednesday that the government has failed to take serious action to prevent the potential deterioration of the security situation in Palestinian refugee camps.

“In the wake of the assassination of Fathi Zeidan, Fatah’s security chief in Mieh Mieh camp, the government should implement the resolutions agreed upon during National Dialogue and impose its authority across Lebanese territory by confining the possession of weapons to legitimate state institutions,” Moawad tweeted.
