BIAT provides consultation services to improve women living standards in north Lebanon

BIAT started providing consultation services to 20 women in the Akkar and Denniyeh regions as part of a project to improve the living standards of women in north Lebanon.

The project, which is funded by the European Union, is being implemented by the Rene Moawad foundation, Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL), Digital Opportunity Trust-Lebanon (DOT) and local development agency MADA.

The first phase of the coaching program focused on the assessment of the administrative, financial and marketing aspects of projects undertaken by women.

On another note, FTL launched 14 new coaching programs focusing on local sustainable development and fair trade mainly the difficulties facing small producers. The courses were held at three training centers in the Akkar and Denniyeh regions.

Participants in the coaching program included businesswomen, farmers and local representatives of municipalities.
